Girlfriends Care is dedicated to filling the basic needs of women and children and others in crisis in San Diego County by connecting volunteers with meaningful outreach projects. By providing food, clothing, training, job search assistance, encouragement and love, we actively support and promote self-sufficiency and spiritual well-being.
Our Inspiration is Matthew 25:35-36 “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me somthing to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited me in; naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you took care of me; I was in prison, and you came to visit me.”
Started in 2005 by a few Southern California women who wanted to help others, Girlfriends Care has expanded to include over 150 volunteers who personally interact with and provide needed physical, financial, and emotional support to numerous community organizations and individuals.
